FLASH FICTION: Even Poison Apples Fall Not Far

I told her, “I was run off by so many villages that my reputation began to precede me. Soon there was nowhere left on these islands to escape but into the past.”

I am incredibly grateful to have a story featured on Manawaker Studio’s Flash Fiction Podcast, produced and narrated by CB Droege. “Even Poison Apples Fall Not Far” is a fractured fairytale. It twists the trope of “child wanders to the witch’s cottage in the woods” to examine how people can change so much over time but remain the same person at their core.

This is the first time a story of mine has been rendered in audio form. A million thanks to CB for hosting this little tale on his esteemed podcast.
